We split a day night doulbeheader today. Lost the first game 4-2(again) and won the second game 4-1. I don't know anything about the day game but Omar drove in all 4 runs in the second game. Fryman is back in the lineup as well as that Gutteriez guy. Lets see which one of them hits into the most double plays this season. I saw Gutteriez bat tonight twice and is he ever lame. Had there been less than 2 outs he would have hit into 2 more double plays, and he's batting second. Maybe thats because Cabrerra, another tribe hopeful is hitting around .075. We suck.

The long ball sure did the Tribe in tonight. The Royals got three of them as the Indians went down 6-2. Tony Pena was named manager of the Royals a couple days ago and of course he'd get his first win against us. I read the Plain Dealer column today about Cleveland and I think that sportswriter must have read some of my blogs from last month. We're going down faster than the Titanic and probably have the same chance of resurfacing. So many batting averages around .200. Hey, these guys ain't going to surprise us and start hitting .300 all of a sudden. We need to make a trade or open the wallet.

We got rained out tonight. I wish we would have played it though. We might have won. Baltimore isn't hitting either right now.
Two in a row off the Orioles as we win 3-1. I'm still bummed though. We got solid pitching from Bartolo and Wickman but scored 3 runs without the aid of a hit bringing any of them in. Russ Branyan hit a sacrifice fly for an rbi. I mean a win is a win but this should be a part of a game plan, not the sum of it. You don't win many games on breaks. But a big break is double play Fryman sitting on the bench. Now we need to get Gutterez or whatever his name is to ride the pine too. He hit into his 10th double play last night. And, the talk at work is all negative about freeing up money to sign Thome. Sure, he's a hometown favorite but I'd rather win than be nostalgic. I think a perfect front four would have been Omar, Lawton, Alomar and Burks. We'd have scored runs with that combination.

I asked Marty how the game went and he told me we lost 4-2. I get home and find out we won 6-5 on a Matt Lawton 2 run homer in the bottom of the 9th. We scored 4 in the bottom of the 9th to win this one. It's still going to be a long season. I think I'll put a few pics in here now and then to make it look more interesting. And, Lucy came back online today for a bit. Thanks for talking today Lucy.
Thank you Rushman, I owe you one. If it doesn't rain again today, it's the Tribe against the Orioles.

I'll call it a sweep though Saturday was rained out. Kansas City, last place Kansas City beat us good. Last night it was 4-1. They scored four runs in the first and sat back. Thome hit a home run late for our only run. We're still getting fair pitching. 4 runs a game isn't a whole lot and Cleveland has lost to 4 runs quite a few times already. But that offense. It sucks. After such a great start of 11-1 we've gone 6-19. We'll end up below .500 this year. This week it was KC 4-Cle-1, KC 9-Cle 0, KC 5-Cle 3, Cle 6-Bal 2, Bal 4-Cle 3, Cle 9-Bal 4. We were outscored 28-22.
