Ok, now I don't mind being cynical. I knew this was going to happen. We are crap. That was a pathetic game tonight. I shudder to think where we'd be without Ellis Burks. 12-3. What a pounding. Thats 36-11 in the last 4 games or 9-3 in each. No pitching, no hitting, thats the tribe I remember. Everybody but Marty and me thought the Indians were on their way. Where to I kept asking. Now everybody knows. I'm not saying we'll finish in the basement but we'll finish behind Chicago and Minnesota. 6 more losses and we'll be 11-11. It is possible. Wish I had a Chief Wahoo drawing tonight. I'll see Tom tomorrow, after the Twins beat us and take the pinball crown back.

Hohoho, three in a row. Whats more, we didn't even try to play. Kenny Lofton went 6 for 12 against us as the tribe got swept by the White Sox 7-1. Lofton even hit a home run off of Bartolo. Chisox outscored us 24-8 and I think this is only the beginning. The horsecrap tribe now has to go to Minnesota where the Twins are hot, and whats worse, waiting for us. But, I'll be generous and say the tribe goes 1 and 2 there. Then 4 more losses to the White Sox drives us out of first place for good this year. Did I have high hopes, nope, not a one. I hope Gary can find that book with those Chief Wahoo drawings in it.

I'll be the pinball wizard again soon. With the tribe playing their usual crappy self against the White Sox. We took it on the chin again tonight 7-2. Which lead me to a great idea. I got to find out how to post pictures on this site because I'm going to find those little Indian drawings that they stopped in the 60's. When Cleveland won which wasn't very often, Chief Yahoo had a big smile with a scalp in one hand and a tomahawk in the other. When they lost he had a tired look on his face, a couple of teeth missing, a few knots on his skull, a black eye and a broken tomahawk. I got to find some way to put them on this site. No comments on the game cause I didn't listen to it. I never do when they play the Sox. I just wait for somebody to pass the score along. And, bye Patricia, it was fun working with you.

Well, no surprise here tonight. The White Sox put it on our noses good, 10-5. We were out of it early. Nine runs in the second inning made me one step closer to getting my crown back. Finley didn't fool anybody in the game we had to win. Why, to set the tone against Chicago. I say we lose all 3 here. And badly. We had good pitching after the second inning though. They only scored once while we tried to get back in it. Ran out of innings. I talked to my friend Michelle from Trinidad today. Tried to talk her into becoming a blogger.

No game today, travel day. I talked with Tom aka pinball wizard last night and we discussed the next 10 games. 7 against Chicago, 3 there, 4 here and 3 against the Twins, there. I told him it's possible we could be 11 and 11 after this 10 games. Now, Tom is called the pinball wizard cause he took that title from me a few years ago. Yes, it's a compliment to The Who's song from the 60's. I made a lot of comments about the Indians, all negative and Tom said the contrary every time. He was right. So, "even on my favorite table he can beat my best". I handed over the pinball crown. And I've been trying to get it back ever since. Anyway, he's like my brother and boss Marty, why are you so down on the Indians? So, on an off day, here's my answer. Since 1957 which is the 1st year I can actually remember baseball the Indians have gone 2669-3168 through 1994. Way below .500 ball. The Mets, Twins, Royals, Padres, Brewers, all expansion teams have been to the world series during this time while we brought up the rear. In 1987 we made the cover of Sports Illustrated as the team to go all the way that year. We sure did 61-101, all the way to the basement. We just couldn't win thats the way I think in terms of the Indians. There's tons more but leave that for future travel days.

The game was postponed due to rain today so I got time to see how wrong I was. I said 3 and 4 this week. Cleveland went 6 and 0. But now we go to Chicago where we can't win and we play bad. We'll be lucky to win one game there. We outscored KC 11-8 and Minn 31-16. That makes 42-24 this week 37-17 last week. 79 runs in 12 games averages to 6.5 runs a game. This week it was Cle 8-KC 7, Cle 3-KC-1, Cle 8-Minn 4, Cle 9-Minn 3, Cle 5-Minn 4, Cle 9-Minn 5. But I'm not saying go tribe.
